Issues with specific ISPs.
Adelphia
- Adelphia.net appears to have configured their email servers
to ignore connection requests from www.paddlewise.net. I've attempted
to contact adelphia, but since I'm not an adelphia customer they won't
read the email about the problem. As of right now all subscribe requests
and subsequent email delivery only get queued up and delivered back to the
list owner.
frontiernet
- Periodically frontiernets anti-spam software trace
back the originating IP address instead of the connecting IP address. This
most frequently happens with rr.com originated email. Attempts to explain
to frontiernet they are filtering on the wrong address have been futile.
Hotmail
- Hotmail's default folder size of 2 Meg is insufficient to
receive the mailing list, unless you check your mailbox daily. Additionally
Hotmail is prone to rejecting email with no explanation other than mail rejected. Please use an email service other than Hotmail to receive paddlewise. I
unsubscribe hotmail originated users at the first sign of Hotmail problems,
it's just not worth the effort.
island.net
- island.net has set their spam assasin software to reject email from paddlewise.net unless the sender field is set to be from the list
owner. I expect this will prevent any new island.net subscribers - you will
will need to take this up with island.net if you are using them as your isp.
